In 2014, Renaud Wiser creates Please Be Seated with New Movement Collective.
Exploring conventions of behaviour and control, Please Be Seated uses the ‘orthodox’ space of a theatre auditorium and invites us to reimagine its particular conventions and our collusion in them.
Presenting a totalitarian society, which can only operate through group consensus but where the needs of the individual also clamour for acknowledgement, Please Be Seated reveals absurdities within political systems and every day structures.
